About Peter Lahmann

Meet Peter

My Statement

Experience and common-sense. There is no substitute for either I have both, from a lifetime of work using my head and hands. Above all, I understand that the job of Commissioner should be limited to providing basic infrastructure and services for County residents to be successful. County government should not attempt to choose who can live, work, or do legal business here. After Centralia High School, I earned a BA in Business Administration and an MBA. I understand business, budgets, and infrastructure. I have worked in the construction trades where I made a good living to support my wife and children. I coached youth soccer and volunteered on and lead civic projects, making Centralia a more attractive place to live and do business. As a Port Commissioner, I am working to open Port activities and information to the public.

Government should be open!

Being an effective County Commissioner requires aptitude, experience, and understanding that everyone who comes before government is entitled to fair treatment. Life teaches hard lessons. I have learned that I am not always right and that there are people who know more than I do.

As a Commissioner, I will put those lessons to good use and work for every citizen.
